Odds are
based on the win pool and reflect each individual horse’s
chances of winning, as determined by the wagering of the public.
The track linemaker is responsible for the odds in the program.
These program odds are made before the betting and represent the
track linemaker’s projections as to how the public will wager on
each horse. Payoff’s are based on $2 bets.
The infield odds board and in-house television monitors reflect
approximate odds.

WIN, PLACE AND SHOW:
A Win requires that the bettor’s horse finish
first in order for the player to collect. Place
means the selected horse must finish first or second for a
payoff. A Show bet means the selected horse must
finish first, second or third for the bettor to collect a
payoff.
DAILY DOUBLE:
A Daily Double is a single wager in which the
bettor is required to select the winners of two consecutive
races. There are two Daily Double’s nightly, an
early double usually on the first and second races and a late
double usually on the last two races.
EXACTORS:
An Exactor wager requires the selection, in exact
finishing order, of the first and second horses in a single
race. The basic Exactor bet is $2. But if the
bettor chooses to box two or more horses, the basic denomination
can drop as low as $1. For instance, the bettor could play a
two-horse $1 box. This would cost $2 and would be a winner if
the two horses finish first and second in either order. A
three-horse box (six potential winning combinations) costs $6;
four-horse box, $12; five-horse box, $20; six-horse box, $30;
seven-horse box, $42; eight-horse box, $56. There is
Exactor wagering on all races.
TRIACTORS:
Triactor wagering involves the selection on the
first three finishers in the exact order in a single race. The
basic Triactor is $2 when a single combination is
played, such as 1-2-3. For the bettor to collect a payoff, the 1
horse must win, the 2 must finish second and the 3 must finish
third. Triactor boxes offer greater number of
winning combinations and the basic wagering denomination can
drop as low as $1. Thus a three-horse box (six winning
combinations) costs $6; four-horse box, $24; five-horse box,
$60; six-horse box, $120; seven-horse box, $210; eight-horse
box, $336.
PICK-3:
Pick-3 is a multiple race bet. The goal is to
select on a single ticket each winner of three specially
designated daily triple races. If there are no tickets with all
three winners, the payoff pool is distributed among those
bettors with two of the three winners. Should there be no
outstanding tickets with either three or two winners, the payoff
pool would be distributed among those patrons with a single
winner.
Pick-3 wagering is offered on every race provided
there are enough races that follow to complete the pool. Since
most players prefer to select more than one horse in each race,
it’s helpful to calculate the number of combinations to
determine the cost of your Pick-3 tickets. For
example, if you selected three horses in the third race, two in
the fourth and three in the fifth, you have 18 different
combinations. The number of combinations would then be
multiplied by your base wager to determine cost. In those
circumstances where more than one horse is selected in each of
the three races, the base wager is $2.
WIN-4:
Win-4 wagering is very similar to the Pick-3.
This is also a multiple race bet. The Win-4 begins
in the sixth race and goes through to the ninth. Once again the
goal is to select the winner of all four races on a single
ticket.
SUPERFECTA:
Superfecta wagering is very similar to the
Triactor except that it involves the selection of the
first four finishers in the exact order in a single race.
